Educational Events at Studio 105

Studio 105 is the educational center for all programs
and courses offered at the Green Trees Gallery
for Children and Adults.

Early Release Art Fun Days!!

A half-day class for kids full of fine arts and crafts.

Grades K-6 welcome. Students will be met after school and walked
across the street to the back of Green Trees Gallery for class.

This class takes place once a month on the early release Wednesday.

Fee (includes all supplies):

To prepay deposits for all classes- $150.

To prepay tuition for all classes- $350.

Or pay as you go- $15 deposit due 1 week before and $20 due the day of class.

Class Descriptions

Clay for Kids

This class teaches hand building techniques and introduction to the wheel. Attention to individual projects encouraged.

Drawing and Painting for Kids through grade 6

This class will focus on group instruction as well as attention to individual interests. We will explore sketching, pen & ink, and painting.

Dyeing for Color, Batik for Kids

Batik is an ancient form of fabric decoration that uses vibrantly colored dyes and painted hot wax. This class introduces the student to this medium through planned projects, including paintings and craft projects.

Dyeing for Color, Batik for Adults and Teens

Batik is an ancient form of fabric decoration using vibrantly colored dyes and painted hot wax. This class will teach basic techniques of batik while encouraging the student to complete individually designed craft projects and paintings.

Painting for Adult and Teens, Oils or Acrylics

This class is for the beginner or intermediate painter who is looking for a supportive environment in which they can experiment. Students will be encouraged to choose subject matter individually, and work at their own pace, yet will have the opportunity to learn from the group, as we focus on composition, perspective, value and light, and color mixing.
